For MSI-7200 Dyna-Link Tension Dynamometers
Q: Can I increase the lifting capacity of my Dyna-Link by recalibrating it to a higher capacity?
A: No. Lifting capacity is specific to the load cell design. Although you can change the capacity setting electronically, its mechanical structure is still designed for a specific, maximum lifting capacity.
Q: What should I do if my scale does not turn on?
A: Check your power source. Make sure it is connected and that you have the required power to turn it on. Check the fuse. Every MSI product comes equipped with a fuse on the main power line, call the factory if you cannot find it.
Q: Can I use the Dyna-Link like a scale?
A: Not safely. The Dyna-Link is designed for straight, static pulls. It is significantly more susceptible to side loading and twisting loads that may damage the load cell.
Q: Why doesn't the weight reading return to zero after tension is released?
A: The scale is in peak hold mode, push the "peak" button to return to normal mode.
Q: How can I increase the Dyna-Link's battery life?
A: Make sure you are utilizing the auto power off feature, it prolongs battery life.
